Publisher's Description

Margaretha has always been a romantic, and hopes her newest suitor, Lord Claybrook, is destined to be her one true love. But then an injured man is brought to Hagenheim Castle, claiming to be an English lord who was attacked by Claybrook and left for dead. And only Margaretha—one of the few who speaks his language—understands the wild story.

Margaretha finds herself unable to pass Colin’s message along to her father, the duke, and convinces herself “Lord Colin” is just an addled stranger. Then Colin retrieves an heirloom she lost in a well, and asks her to spy on Claybrook as repayment. Margaretha knows she could never be a spy—not only is she unable to keep anything secret, she’s sure Colin is completely wrong about her potential betrothed. Though when Margaretha overhears Claybrook one day, she discovers her romantic notions may have been clouding her judgment about not only Colin but Claybrook as well. It is up to her to save her father and Hagenheim itself from Claybrook’s wicked plot.

I have read all 5 books in this series and loved everyone of them. They were fun, entertaining and you could get lost in their world. Just like any other fairy tale it had a happy ending. Can't say enough about Melanie Dickerson and her magical writing based on medieval settings, romance, and high adventure during those times.

If what he says is true, time is of the essence. The future of her entire kingdom is at stake; hanging in the balance, just beyond the grasp of a madman and a murderer.

When the badly battered Englishman is brought to the healer at Hagenheim Castle, Princess Margaretha thinks him to be out of his head. One of only two people who can understand his English, she soon discovers that he has come to seek justice or perhaps even revenge; and ironically the man in his sights is none other than her most recent suitor, Lord Claybrook. Discreetly following Lord Claybrook and overhearing his heinous plans she immediately aligns herself with the man who claims to be an English lord, Colin le Wyse.

Colin finds that his only ally in his quest for justice is a garrulous princess, who quickly captures his attention with her compassionate heart, endless bravery and engaging smile. Escaping Lord Claybrook and warning Duke Wilhelm of the impending danger to his kingdom thrust Colin and Margaretha together in more ways than one. Can they save the kingdom and prevent Margaretha's forced marriage to the true mad man in Hagenheim? Will their own hearts survive the journey?

Melanie Dickerson has penned another delightful, romantic tale of courage and chivalry.

I love medieval times and fairy tales but rarely do you find a romance book about those times that is not fully of smut. However even rarer still is finding Christian romance in those times, it's all western, Victorian, or Amish (so much Amish). So I was very please to find these books and this author. The books tend to get a little repetitive and predictable but I really didn't mind I just loved to finally have a book series like this. I'll be getting more books from her in the future that is for sure.

This enthralling medieval story abounds with suspense and danger. Margaretha, a well-educated daughter of a duke, has not settled on a suitor because she seeks true love. The man she is supposed to marry may not be the type of man he presents himself as, and an injured stranger warns her to beware. Thus begins her adventures to try to save her family, castle, and village from an evil plot.

Melanie Dickersons masterful storytelling offers readers a fine adventure set in the historical past we enjoy dreaming ofwith princesses and castlesfairy tales brought to life in a new way. Even though geared toward young adults, women of all ages will find every book in this series an enchanting read.
