Julie4 Stars Out Of 5interesting perspectiveAugust 23, 2017JulieQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4This book wasn't my favorite out of the series. It was an interesting perspective of David and Jonathan's friendship. It didn't suck me in though, like some of the other books in this series.
Miss Anona Nelson5 Stars Out Of 5May 7, 2009Miss Anona NelsonJonathan is my favorite biblical character because of his willingness to be in second place. He was willing to befriend David who stood in the way of him becoming king. I still have not finished the book but am enjoying what he may have felt and what he did in the situation he found himself in. Even though fiction, it appears to closely follow Scripture.

SCM5 Stars Out Of 5June 12, 2008SCMThis book was so amazing I don't even know where to begin! I've read this story in the Bible many times, but like most people I'm more inclined to pay attention to Saul and David and give Jonathan little or no attention. This book did an excellent job of recounting the events in a manner that was true to the Bible and the culture of the day. It also was an amazing look into the life of Jonathan, a way to see things through his eyes that completely gave me a new perspective of the story. This book was incredible! I highly recommend it to all mature teens and adults.
