Shirley5 Stars Out Of 5December 12, 2008ShirleyWow. I enjoyed this book in the Scottish Crown series every bit as much as the first, if not more! I would say it is probably my favorite in the series. This novel was very exciting, with stirring scenes of choosing allegiances and fighting for Scotland led by Robert the Bruce. My sister and I read this one together, as well as the first, and will never forget it. The romance is beautiful, as Kathryn falls in love with the silent, strong, and yet gentle warrior. I highly recommend this whole series to anyone who loves tender romances and stirring, dramatic adventures. Carol Umberger is a talented writer.
Tanya5 Stars Out Of 5August 1, 2004TanyaIt is so refreshing to read books that center around the Lord God Almighty. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book, I am looking forward to reading the Mark of Salvation. I hope that the third and fourth book is as good as her first two.
Brianna5 Stars Out Of 5December 1, 2003BriannaI loved this book, I bought it a couple of days ago and have already read it twice, The story of Kathryn de Lindsay and 'Black Bryan' Mackintosh is very touching and told in a wonderfully written way. I hope that the third book which I have not read would be as good. Carol Umberger is a wonderful author and I can only hope that she has more books than just this series in the works. I want to say thank you to her, she has written an excellent series, with hopefully many more series and novels to come.
