I sing and also arrange music. I was asked to assist friends some years ago in arranging this song because they found the way it was recorded to be tricky for them to sing. While I haven't listened to it in awhile, I recall flipping some of it, or maybe all of it, so the man was singing the female parts at times and vice versa (an octave below or above what was being sung, of course). In this case, the female singing was a natural soprano and he was a baritone. When we played with it, it then turned out to be a really nice version. Try getting a little creative in your arranging of this one, if you have trouble with the Talley-Phelps version, and you will really like it - it's a beautiful song and can be nicely done!

I must agree with Mr. Smith - I didn't think the 2nd verse would have a female singing the main verse. Also expected it to mirror the original key

I used this CD for a church performance and it was beautiful. Easy to follow and very similar to popular version of this song made popular by Celine Dion. All words are in English, no Italian. I am a second soprano and found the "low" version to be the best, not too low.

I am SO disappointed! The track starts in the correct key, but starting on the second verse (when D. Phelps starts singing on the original), the key change is not right, and the female voice continues to sing lead. Perhaps it is the correct arrangement for some version of the song, but it is NOT the Talley/Phelps arrangement.
