The Pine Tree Parable tells the heartwarming tale of a farmer and his family who nurture tiny seedlings into fragrant Christmas trees.
When the trees are tall enough to offer to their neighbors, the farmer's wife plans to keep the most beautiful pine tree for her family, until one snowy December night when a child teaches her the true meaning of Christmas.
Liz Curtis Higgs is an award-winning speaker as well as the author of twenty-eight books, including Bad Girls of the Bible and Thorn in My Heart. Her Parable Series for children has been awarded the ECPA Gold Medallion for Excellence.
Melissa5 Stars Out Of 5Beautiful book!December 28, 2014MelissaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I am so pleased with this book. It is a beautiful story for children (mine are 2, 3 and 5 years old). The illustrations are so warm and cuddly, the story is so beautiful and well-written, and a related Bible verse is included on each page. The story can be just read and enjoyed as is, but there is so much more to it that, depending on the age of the children, you can use this as a starting point for teaching about how God gave His Son for us/ making sacrifices/ serving others. Younger children can enjoy the story, older children (and parents!) can get so much more out of it. It is a good-quality hardcover, as well.

Our girls are 2 and 4 and love having it read over and over. The Scripture on each page makes it easy to point the parable to the LORD.
