S.Chapel ReviewsSouthern OhioAge: Over 65Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Two Mysteries in one NovelFebruary 2, 2025S.Chapel ReviewsSouthern OhioAge: Over 65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The Peacemaker is the second book to Wanda Brunstetters Mifflin County Mystery Series. It picks up where book one left off. Rosa Petersheim has been missing for over a year and no one knows if she is alive or dead. Her family has gone on with their lives but the mystery of Rosas disappearance is always on the back of their minds. Will this book reveal what happened to her or will this mystery go on to book three?
Romance is a big part of book two. Love is in the air for two couples. Besides the missing Rosa there is another mystery in this book as well. I always enjoy it when this Author adds mystery and romance to her books. I thought that the Peacemaker was romantic, entertaining, realistic and a page turner. I will be waiting anxiously for book three to be released.
I highly recommend this book to readers of Amish Fiction, Romance and mystery. If you have read book one you will want to follow up with this book too. The Peacemaker could be read as a standalone book but characters are carried over from book one to this book. I feel that readers would get more out of the mystery if they were to read book one first. This book is scheduled to be released on 3/1/25.
I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions shared here in this review are entirely my own. -
CAllen5 Stars Out Of 5Great addition to seriesJanuary 23, 2025CAllenQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5What a wonderful story Wanda E. Brunstetter tells in the second saga in THE PEACEMAKER AMIFFLIN COUNTY MYSTERY. We were introduced to our main characters, Ephraim Peight and Ava Deitweiler were introduced in book one of the series. Ava best friend, Rosa is still missing and some still think her former boyfriend, Ephraim is to blame.
All friends and family is having to learn to move on with their lives assuming Rosa is never coming back home.
This is a truly heartwarming story following Ephraim and Ava as the navigate their lives without Rosa.
The story is readable and believable. The characters are very realistic.
I recommend it highly.

Kate5 Stars Out Of 5A-mazing series!December 30, 2024KateI am absolutely loving this series! Book 1 had friends and family searching for Rosa. Now, in book 2, they are figuring out how to move on with their lives more than a year later while still holding out hope for her return. What could easily be a dark topic remains hopeful as Rosa s loved ones seek love and peace amidst the unknown, relying on help from God and each other. I am dying to get my hands on book 3, coming out in late summer 2025, to solve the rest of this puzzle. Wanda Brunstetter has brought Amish fiction to a new level with the Mifflin County series, and I know somehow things must turn out right for the Petersheim family in the end. For a unique Amish mystery by one of the best Christian fiction writers out there, start with book 1 and do not miss this amazing romantic trilogy.

lpe5 Stars Out Of 5The PeacemakerMarch 15, 2025lpeQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The book did take me a few chapters to get into, but it was a really sweet story! I don't usually love Amish fiction, but I ended up enjoying this one a lot. Very clean, sweet romance with a touch of mystery. Looking forward to reading the third book.
