Product Description

After serving a ten-year prison sentence, Lee Ferguson (Joe Rowley) returns to the small town where he was raised. Looking to lead a simple life, he takes a job at the local grocery store where all he wants beyond a daily routine is to be left alone. But when Lee saves Katie (Liz DuChez) from being assaulted, his life becomes anything but simple. Lee’s budding relationship with Katie is threatened by a scheming coworker and a violent past which will not stay buried. When a mysterious stranger knocks on his door, Lee is suddenly confronted with the choices he made long ago. He must now decide how far he is willing to go to seek redemption. The Path of the Wind is a compelling story of love, vengeance, and forgiveness, and the powers we choose to let guide us. Approx. 103 minutes.

    A little Disappointing

Definite portrayal of todays brokenness and issues... Not such a great example of making good choices and a so-so example of the consequences of not making those good choices. Felt let down and even a lil disappointed.

In my opinion, this movie really portrays a true picture in the lives of us all today. We are faulty, broken and foolish humans! We are not without sin. It lives in us all. The female in this movie made a lot of mistakes. She shared she had only been saved a short time. Her actions are both human and Christian: As Jesus is the righteousness lived in us, not of ourselves. Repentance and truth were the natural results of the presence of the Holy Spirit working in her. Paul himself admitted he did not do what he should and he did what he should not do. Sanctification takes time. I believe this movie is a very good movie to show the results of ungodly choices, why we need a Savior in the first place and that it is challenging to walk away from a sinful life. Satan will always try to tempt you back. Many bad choices were made in the lives of the characters. I do not see that the viewer will believe they can go do what is done here. Movies do not provoke bad behavior, people fail to consider the consequences of bad behavior. That is why we have the gift of the Holy Spirit living in us. He reveals sin, leads us away from sin, and reminds us who we are in Christ. The fact that we still sin at times, is why Grace from God is necessary. We are all in a place everyday to affect others for God. Movies like this, even if unpleasant, should actually serve to help us be honest with our struggles with that ongoing sinful nature in us all. We do have a new nature but we must act on it. I truly see this movie as an open door for discussion for teens and any person who struggles with the war between the flesh and the spirit.Do we not all? May any viewer, Christian or otherwise, consider; that seeds of faith or good behavior can be planted in the life of other humans in our path, but ultimately it is their choice to lay down self and follow spirit. Believers are called to live in Spirit and Truth. This movie is a good example of living by the sword and dying by the sword. Boundaries must be in place when dealing with non-believers. This woman was naive to that. Surely she needed more spiritual discernment, strength and mature teaching. That is why she had to suffer pain in the end. Suffering in the flesh does away with sin in the flesh!

So many good lessons in this movie, far too many to share here. A movie to be considered not discounted, in my opinion.

They did a lot of talk about Christianity, but I couldn't find one who actually portrayed being a Christian AND upheld Christian values. There was too much emphasis on sex, and lines were crossed. Not acceptable at all for a Christian movie. And it ended very darkly and disturbing. I recorded it on my DVR but had to delete it rather than let my child watch it as we had planned because it is definitely not a family friendly movie. I did not find it uplifting at all.

Overall my wife and I enjoyed this movie. It is well done with a strong message and even presentation of the Gospel message.

However, despite it's "no sex before marriage" message, the Christian in the movie is a pretty bad example to Believers and young people especially. Without ruining the plot, the Christian woman in the movie seems to do everything except the very act of sex, and then her conscience seems to kick in when it went too far.

No emphasis on purity of any kind.

The unbeliever guy in the movie is a better example than she is. Otherwise nice movie with some action, surprises and a good overall message but could have been a lot better in showing real purity and how a Christian should approach relationships.

I was disappointed in the quality of this movie. The acting was not good. I think they could have done a better job of getting their message across. The ending was not well developed which to me hindered the message they were trying to get across. I wish I had rented it first before buying.
