Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  I am married and a full time homemaker for a great husband who leads our home with wisdom from God. We have five children and each one is a blessing. Each day I cook dinner and set the table and say the blessing and watch us eat together and relish every moment for one day they will be grown up and gone. When I was a child my greatest joy was rounding up kids in the summertime for vacation bible school and some of them accepted Christ as their savior.

What was your motivation behind this project?  I was hoping that after the kids read this book they would want to know who the man was that needed the bowl and it would motivate them to ask questions and want to learn more about God.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I hope that who ever reads this will feel blessed and pass the story on to someone else.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  It brought tears to my eyes when my sister Amanda started to draw the pictures that brought the story to life. My favorite two are the hands passing the bowl around and when the disciples were lined up and going inside the house.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  My source of inspiration came from God whom gave me the idea about a bowl and I took a few months to think about it,and also my mother. She and I would sit at the table and write every morning or discuss ideas. Favorite authors are Laura Ingalls Wilder,, Lois Lenski and Judy Blume.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:   Live your lives thanking God every day for letting us all be here another day and for answering our prayers.
