My son and his wife requested a preschooler devotion for Christmas. I was able to search a number of them on your site thru the sample pages that are shown.

It looks like we picked a good one - the liked it and I know are using it. Also passed along the website for them to look at.

If you liked the first One-Year Devotions for Preschoolers, you'll like the second. I do wish the phrase at the bottom of each page read more like a prayer that the child could say with you.

Divided into 365 daily devotional readings, this charming title in the Little Blessings series illustrated by Elena Kucharik has proven to be irresistible to my three-year-old. My six-year-old listens in as well, but daily reading of one, two, three, or more selections from this devotional that reaches preschoolers on a personal level is an essential part of her bedtime routine.Designed for reading chronologically, the devotions start at Genesis 1:1 on January 1st, and conclude with Revelation 22:5 on December 31st. Still, we enjoy jumping around as my daughters interest leads, and we read some of the chronological selections as well. Each daily devotion is one page and includes a scripture verse (drawn from a wide range of versions), a devotional reflection paragraph written at an easy to understand level, and a sweet rhyming couplet that reinforces the daily lesson. When the text asks questions, my children always answer they hit at the heart of common childhood concerns: feeling shy, afraid, alone, Gods love for us, making choices, dealing with difficult emotions, and much more. Lets read another poem! My daughter often cries, leading me to appreciate the cute rhyming verses. Carla Barnhill has done an exemplary job of engaging young children in the devotional experience. In all honesty, no other childrens devotional has reached my middle child in the same way this offering has.Part of the titles great appeal is the charming illustrations by Elena Kucharik. As the creator of the Care Bears she knows what shes doing when it comes to illustrating for children. Soft, yet filled with action (and incredibly charming to moms and children alike), Kuchariks cast of five culturally diverse children is consistent throughout the book, including boys and girls of various ages.

It has nice and short devotions with pretty pictures that attract little children to it. My kids thought it was great! They loved the pastel colors and the cute little children throughout the book. My 2 year old kept counting all the kids in the pictures and wanting to know if he was one of them! LOL.I like the prayers at the end of each day. They are nice and simple and easy for the kids to understand short enough for them to sit through, and interesting enough for them to ask questions about it! (I love books that bring out discussion with my little ones!) Theyve been dragging it around the house wanting to read it.Having my one One Year Bible previously, I was really appreciative of the break down of this book. The One Year Devotions is broken down into 3 parts. A short scripture verse, a small store and a summary of it. It is dated for each day of the year, which is nice because you dont have to stick a bookmark in to remember where youre at a good thing if little hands are picking it up and carrying it around the house!I think its a great way to teach your children the value of prayer and scripture together. Books like this can help establish the habit of prayer and devotion even at an early age and help keep scripture hidden in their hearts. It is very Do-able with your preschoolers, which is important! Even my 6 year old enjoyed this book because it was short enough for her to read it on her own! I think it will make a great devotion for her to read.

The stories or devos are short, Biblical, and to the point. My boys have loved the precious pictures and I have been AMAZED at the discussion some of the devos have produced. We read this "devo" before nap times . . . and often I don't want our snuggle time to end. The valuable lessons have carried over throughout the rest of the day. I highly recommend this book!
