The News Answers Book 4 is a valuable reference resource to have in your home if you want to be able to have solid answers to refute evolutionary rhetoric. Broken down into 33 chapters, it reads more like an encyclopedia than a regular book which means you can just look up the topics that interest you or subjects for which you need/want answers. Pictures, charts, diagrams, and graphs help illustrate the topics being discussed.
A wide variety of topics are covered including, but not limited to:
*Science and the Bible
*Darwin and Christianity
*The Canopy Model
*and many more_.
While this series of books is geared towards teens and adults, younger children could benefit from reading the materials covered depending on their maturity level - especially if done in a homeschool, Sunday school, or family devotional setting. I didn't feel that the materials presented were too complex, and the information was given in a clear and to-the-point manner. That being said, the Answers for Kids series is better suited for the younger set without the information being too watered down.
Round out your Biblical worldview library by adding The New Answers Book series to your collection. Each book in the series tackles important topics about scripture, science, creation, evolution_. all from a Biblical worldview.

Australian born Ken Ham is the President of Answers in Genesis and The Creation Museum. He's a well-known apologist in his defense of a young earth. His book series The New Answers takes on tough questions concerning Creation/Evolution and the Bible.
In Book 4 of The New Answers Series, Ken Ham tackles bold subjects, such as the peppered moth debate, dragons as dinosaurs, Charles Darwin's soul, cavemen, abortion, living fossils, the big bang, climate change, Noah's ark, environmentalism, mutations, and more. Each chapter is carefully answered by numerous scientists in a precise and fact-filled manner. Diagrams, scales, and examples help visualize every factor presented by following recognizable data.
Being both a Christian and a believer in a young earth, I found The New Answers Book 4 to be an extremely good resource. The information gathered by Ken Ham strengthened my knowledge and answered a few of my own personal questions. How Noah's Ark was built, the canopy model theory, the dispersion from the tower of Babel, the Dasha Solution, and the ancient depictions of dragons, all of which were mentioned in these chapters: "Dragons... Were They Real?," "Cavemen... Really?," "What Are Some of the Best Evidences in Science of a Young Creation?," "What Is the State of the Canopy Model?," "Could Noah's Ark Have Been Made of Wood?," What about Creation, Flood, and Language Division Legends?," "What about Distant Starlight Models?," and "What about Design Arguments Like 'Irreducible Complexity?'"
Certain facts from the book amazed me with their fascinating points:
-The drawings of dragons by ancient civilizations around the world closely resemble certain dinosaurs.
-The fact that Neanderthals aren't always found in caves.
-Findings through genetics show Neanderthals and Denisovans were completely human.
-There's very little sediment on the seafloor.
-Bent rock layers in the Grand Canyon.
-Soft tissue discovered in fossils.
Ultimately, the book left me in awe of our Creator. God's designs are full of complexity, diversity, and creativity. You can see His handiwork everywhere you explore and in everything you discover.
I highly recommend The New Answers Book 4 to creationists, theistic evolutionists, and to some curious-minded evolutionists. It's an excellent book for teaching science to older homeschoolers.

This is the fourth installment in Master Books popular and well written New Answers Book series. Written by many different authors (including Bodie Hodge, Dr. David Menton, Dr. Andrew A. Snelling, Dr. Georgia Purdom, and more) and edited by Ken Ham it answers 30 more questions in the Creation/Evolution debate.
The questions it answers include:
Does the gospel Depend on a Young Earth?
Dragons . . . Were They Real?
Should There Be a Battle between Science and the Bible?
What about Living Fossils?
How Big is the Universe?
What are the Tactics of the New Atheists?
What about Beneficial Mutations?
The chapter I would recommend most highly is #10ââ¬Â³ What Are Some of the Best Evidences in Science of a Young Creation". It contains short explanations of 10 different evidences and even discusses some of the rescuing devices people will try to use against them. It alone is worth the price of the book to me. As a student of Hebrew and someone interested in genetics and nutrition I also found the chapters on "the Hebrew Language and Genesis" and "Are Genetically Modified Organisms Wrong" particularly interesting.
You would have to help younger children to understand a lot of the information is this book. But having this book (and others from the series) will give you a solid foundation to start on when answering their questions. Chapter 5 "Is Evolutionary Humanism the Most Blood-stained Religion Ever?" would have been useful a year or so ago when we were helping my 9 year old nephew to answer a classmate that said "Christianity kills thousands, Atheism kills none. "
We live in a world that is increasingly skeptical and sometimes even hostile to Christianity. If we wish to change, or even slow, this pattern we must have answers for people. I highly recommend this book for anyone who frequently finds themselves having to defend their belief in God and the Bible, or for anyone who wants to prepare themselves in case that might have to.

The New Answers Book 4 is the latest installment of the Answers book series. This book takes a slightly different approach to the series and "slightly" is meant in its most literal sense. For people not familiar with the Answers Book series it probably will not even be noticed.
As I travel to different churches representing Answers In Genesis, the one thing I am able to tell people about the Answers Books is they are filled with questions from the most often asked questions, found in Book 1, and the lesser asked questions, found in Book 3. I am not able to say that with this new book. While there are several questions within the book that still follow this pattern, such as "Dragons" and "What is the State of the Canopy Model?" there are many new questions answered in this new book that are very relevant to the day we are living in and these questions are being asked almost as often as many of the questions in the first installment of this series.
What are the Tactics of the New Atheists?
Is Speciation Evidence for Creation or Evolution?
What About Design Arguments Like "Irreducible Complexity"?
Dear Atheists...Are You Tired of It All?
These are just a few of the questions tackled in this book and the latest assault by the new atheists have given rise to the age old debate of creation vs. evolution. This book helps the reader make sense of these issues and many more.
This is the 4th book in the New Answer's series. Although this book was incredibly interesting, it was not an easy read. I used this book as part of my homeschooling with my kids 7,13, and 18 and I have to admit, there is so much in this book it's hard to absorb it all as quickly as we tried to. This is a book for those who already have a pretty good understanding of the Bible and the controversy surrounding.
This book starts off with Ken Ham touching on a very emotional subject for most-the Earth's age. No matter if you believe in the Young Earth theory or not, Ken makes it very clear that Jesus is the only path to salvation. I loved how it nipped it all in the bud and set his good name straight with that little bit of controversy surrounding him.
There are so many fantastic and fascinating questions that this book answers that I decided to list a few out that were favorites in our house,:
Were dragons real?
Were there really cavemen?
Should there be a battle between science and the Bible?
Were people originally dumb brutes?
What about beneficial mutation?
Is speciation evidence for Creation or Evolution?
You may quickly notice a theme, but I really liked how the authors touched on each of these questions. These were the topics that drew in my kids and had them fascinated and engaged. They were astonished that there was actually a book and a Godly book, that answered, or tried to, these questions. That had to be one of my favorite things about this book- it drew my kids in by asking the questions that matter to them, that keep them thinking and it gave them biblical truth to stand on when talking about these topics.
A frequent argument we have in our home is the belief that scientist-real scientist-cannot believe in God. I adored how the group of authors that wrote this book were people like
Danny Faulkner, who has a Ph.D. in astronomy, Dr. David Menton, with a PhD in cell biology, and professor of anatomy at Washington University School of Medicine,Dr. Andrew Snelling a PhD in geology from the University in Sydney. All men of God that are "real" scientist.
I can easily recommend this book for families, home educators, youth groups, and others who are fascinated with science, the earth and Christ. This book will deepen your faith and challenge your belief system.
