Product Description

Greenfield is having a huge Winter Festival and the Alden's are in charge of the planning and decorating. When Violet picks up her photographs from the drugstore, she notices that there is an extra picture in the pack---and an odd one at that! It seems as though a new mystery is afoot, especially when weird things begin to happen in town---someone is tearing down the Festival decorations and then a historic statue is stolen! Can the Alden children figure out who this menacing phantom can be? #55 in the series.

Author Bio

Gertrude Chandler Warner was born in 1890 in Putnam, Connecticut, where she taught school and wrote The Boxcar Children because she had often imagined how delightful it would be to live in a caboose or freight car. Encouraged by the book's success, she went on to write eighteen more stories about the Alden children.
