Cindy5 Stars Out Of 5March 12, 2006CindyAnd Develyns adventures continue.....I swear Stephen reached down into my heart to speak her thoughts and desires. A scene described by Stephen can crack even the stuffiest brow. You find yourself chuckling..........if Uncle George told that story it wouldnt be as funny....so how does Stephen do it? Hes got the knack....he can tell a good story and put it in writing even better........told so well that you wished you were the heroine riding off into that sunset with that cowboy!
Michelle SuttonArizonaAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5March 4, 2006Michelle SuttonArizonaAge: 45-54Gender: femaleBly pulls you further into the life of Develyn Worrell in the second book of this series...with several twists and turns along the way. Just when you think Develyn may have found her match, she realizes he isn't the one for her. She has so many male admirers she could take her pick. In walks the Mustang Breaker from book 1 in the trilogy, but could he become more than a friend? Develyn certainly finds him appealing and exciting, but is that enough? The Lord shows Develyn that her summer in Wyoming isn't all about her, but about the needs of others. Once she puts that into perspective, things become more clear. Leaving her future in the Lord's hands, she determines to live each day as it comes, and to the fullest. She also realizes that this time she must accept nothing less than all God wants for her life, or she will risk compromising her future. By the end of The Mustang Breaker (book 2), the reader is still wondering about Develyn's daughter's crisis, which has yet to be revealed. Also, Develyn has now eliminated two men from her list of potential future mates. Is the man she least expects the one the Lord has for her? I have a feeling book three in the trilogy will reveal that answer. Meanwhile, Casey Cree-Ryder seems to have found her soul mate. I can't help wondering if a double wedding is ahead. Waiting patiently for the final book in the Horse Dreams Trilogy, and wondering what great mystery will be revealed that will conclude this series.

Tell us a little about yourself. I grew up on a ranch in the San Joaquin valley of California, so books like Steinbeck's "GRAPES OF WRATH" hit very close to home.
What was your motivation behind this project? First, I wanted to entertain . . to take the reader away from current struggles and let them live in another boots for a while. Second, I wanted to set examples they just might like to live up to. Third, I want to teach them to think like a horse!
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Is a great guy . . . always the right guy? Dev Worrell debates that point when she's with horse trainer and all around cowboy, Renny Slater. I want my readers to enjoy all ther relationships (men & women) they have . . whether he or she is the "right"one.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? You know a book that influenced me as a kid? John Steinbeck's "CANNERY ROW." I loved the characters he created.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Okay, people often ask do I interject any of my own personality in my characters. Yep. In every character, there's some of me. Not only in Renny Slater... but some in Develyn Worrel as well.
