The Bible is filled with amazing people, and Paul stands out prominently among them. What made him so effective, so influential? In this book, author Jim George explores how Paul took Gods priorities for life and made them his own. The result? He had a significant impact on everyone around him. From Paul we can learn how to
- let Gods power work in and through us
- acquire discernment for making right decisions and choices
- pursue holiness that allows God to work through us unhindered
- stay faithful to Gods calling all the way to the end
Because it is God who enables us, these qualities are accessible to every believer. Readers will experience true fulfillment as they take steps toward making a difference in the workplace, at home, at church, and in their community.
Jim George and his wife, Elizabeth George, are Christian authors and speakers. Jim, author of A Husband After Gods Own Heart (a Gold Medallion finalist) and The Bare Bones Bible® Handbook, has MDiv and ThM degrees from Talbot Theological Seminary. He has served in various pastoral roles for 25 years and on The Masters Seminary staff for ten years. Jim and Elizabeth have two married daughters and are grandparents.
Whereas George spends considerable time talking about (and even quoting) himself and uses exclamation points and italics in excess, this, nevertheless, is a great reference tool for new Christians and those wishing to renew their faith. This isn't heavy theology, but it is a good first step in learning how to live a life that is pleasing to God. Matt Maine, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
