I have found this commentary to be an excellent supplement to longer commentaries. It has always helped me to have short, to-the-point verse comments that don't overwhelm with detail. These short, insightful remarks often spark the kinds of research questions that throw open the meaning of the verses once their answers are searched-out in longer more technical commentaries and Bible dictionaries.

This commentary has really helped me understand the Bible. I just finished reading the book of Mark. As I read it, if I had any question in my mind about what was happening or being said, I paused to read about it in MacArthur's commentary. I will continue to use it in my reading and studying of the Bible.

THIS IS A VERY GOOD ONE VOLUME COMMENTARY BY ONE OF THE BEST COMMENTATORS. THERE ARE MANY EXTRAS, LIKE WORD STUDIES, CHARTS AND MAPS, THAT HELP WITH BIBLE STUDY AS WELL AS ALL OF THE NOTES FROM HIS STUDY BIBLE. THE PRINT IS MUCH DARKER IN THE COMMENTARY THAN IN THE BIBLE, SO IT IS MUCH EASIER TO READ. I HAD GIVEN ONE TO A FRIEND LAST YEAR, BUT THIS ONE STAYS WITH ME. FOR A ONE VOLUME COMMENTARY, IT IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEED.

I use the MacArthur Study Bible and the MacArthur Bible Commentary and think that these are a complete set of Bible Study tools which I consider 'must haves'.

When i got this i was blown away because of the information. There is no wrong information, only the truth and that is what we need.
