AR ReidBaltimore, MDAge: 45-54Gender: Male5 Stars Out Of 5Excellent for its purposeJuly 7, 2017AR ReidBaltimore, MDAge: 45-54Gender: MaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have found this commentary to be an excellent supplement to longer commentaries. It has always helped me to have short, to-the-point verse comments that don't overwhelm with detail. These short, insightful remarks often spark the kinds of research questions that throw open the meaning of the verses once their answers are searched-out in longer more technical commentaries and Bible dictionaries.
Note: As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a compilation of the verse-notes from MacArthur's study Bible.

I just finished reading the book of Mark. As I read it, if I had any question in my mind about what was happening or being said, I paused to read about it in MacArthur's commentary. I will continue to use it in my reading and studying of the Bible.
