Micky5 Stars Out Of 5Terrorism in AmericaMay 26, 2023MickyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have really liked the series 'A Marcus Ryker Novel'. The books open your eyes to what is going on in the middle east and how much hatreds there is for Christians and Jews. I am thankful there are men and women like Marcus Ryker looking out for us. There is so much happening that we are unaware of; it is scary. I have read most of Rosenbergs books and look forward to his next one. I recommend this novel to all adults.

Reenie5 Stars Out Of 5these books should be made into movies!May 26, 2023ReenieQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is the 5th book in the Marcus Ryker series and it is fabulous! This whole series should be the new "Jack Reacher" type show or movie. They're so well written. I could hardly put it down...needing to know what was going to happen.
Marcus knows an attack is imminent, the likes of which we haven't seen since 9/11. However, because of some precursor missions that seem to have gone dreadfully wrong, Marcus is sidelined and must work to clear his own name so he can get back in the game. He won't be able to live with himself if something happens that he could have prevented.
This book is action packed from beginning to end. It's a great read. I would highly recommend this book but feel it's even better if you can start with book one and make your way through the whole series. I can't wait to see what happens next!
Thank you to Tyndale House for providing me with a free e-copy of this book. All opinions are my own. -
Linda5 Stars Out Of 5Could not put down, Action PackedMay 23, 2023LindaI have not met a Joel Rosenberg book I didn't like!!!! The Libyan Diversion was action packed from the get-go. Even with all the action and intrigue, this book had lots or character building and relationship building between the characters. Joel Rosenberg has such insight into the world at large that his books are true to life, keep you up late reading, and telling yourself these events could be happening at any time. Thoroughly enjoyed this latest Marcus Ryker adventure and waiting not very patiently for the next book!!

GramsAge: 55-65Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Action-PackedMay 17, 2023GramsAge: 55-65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Non-stop action! Just when you think all is lost, there is hope. Once you think there is hope, the bottom falls out. Joel C. Rosenberg puts his characters and his readers through the wringer, but readers can't help but love it! Terrorists are once again posing a significant threat on American soil. Marcus Ryker and his team are the country's best hope of thwarting that threat, but sometimes the same government that he is working so hard to protect is the one that is tying his hands.
I give this book five stars and am very grateful to have received a complimentary copy from Tyndale House Publishers via NetGalley without obligation. All opinions expressed here are my own. -
Terri Gillespie5 Stars Out Of 5Wow! What I Have Been Missing!May 11, 2023Terri GillespieQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I was a big fan of Joel Rosenberg's first novels. Then for whatever reason, I lost track of his books until, THE LIBYAN DIVERSION, book 5 of the Marcus Ryker series. Wow! Look what I've been missing!
Rosenberg's detail and understanding of geopolitical possibilities and bringing it to the reader as more than events, but brings humanity into these stories has always been his forte. However, this book is on a grander scale of emotion.
The Story: Through reliable intel, Marcus Ryker is ready to make his move against the world's most brutal terrorist--Abu Nakba. Marcus meticulously outlines his proof to POTUS regarding the location of the man responsible for atrocities within and outside US borders. Despite strong disagreement by the head of the CIA, the president approves the strike. While awaiting confirmation that the hit was successful, a news network televises that the intel was flawed. A hospital with disable children and staff ended up being killed by the strike.
Marcus is now on the run from the country he has given so much to.
While I was uncomfortable with the graphic elements, I'm also aware of its authenticity in today's world. So, **caution** to younger readers.
With four hundred and fifty pages, one would think book 5 tied up all the loose ends. However, while there is a satisfying, albeit surprise ending, there are enough bad guys left for Marcus Ryker and his team.
A Joel C. Rosenberg novel requires an investment of time and emotion, but every minute of nail-biting and gasps is worth it to get to the end--and get ready for the next book in the series. Speaking of which, while reading the series from the beginning is optimal, don't let it stop you from beginning your read with this book.
Highly recommend this book for those who love authentic, plausible geopolitical suspense and a thrill ride you won't forget.
I received a complimentary ARC from the publisher for my honest review.
