Cyd25 Stars Out Of 5The Jesus Storybook Bible Curriculum KitDecember 21, 2016Cyd2Quality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0As a Sunday School teacher/leader, I appreciate this curriculum immensely. It is well grounded theologically. it is simple enough for younger elementary children, but engaging enough for older children. The author did an outstanding job of rendering the Biblical stories with children in mind, the illustrations are charming, and the audio readings are fantastic. Our church purchased the curriculum for each of our Sunday School teachers. I am so glad to have the video dvd, and the printable resource files; they are excellent resources for our teaching team. The curriculum is simple and may easily be adapted and expanded for different settings--for our small, 30 min. Sunday School class, it is perfect. We intend to teach this curriculum throughout the year and repeat it. (What a great value, for 44 weeks of Sunday School curriculum!) I see The Jesus Storybook Bible Curriculum Kit as an effective way to help our teachers plant the Biblical stories into young hearts, with the focus always on Jesus.
Old Storyteller1 Stars Out Of 5Very DisappointedMay 30, 2015Old StorytellerQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0I cannot believe I paid $65 for a curriculum that suggests playing follow the leader and doing sentence prayers and simple ideas like that. Anyone who has ever been to Sunday School knows those activities. I expected to get new ideas. I expected that the materials which I could download would be nice activity sheets that I could use with my classes, not just a copy of the memory verse and a picture of the story. Free ideas on the internet are so much better. I just hope I can get my money back.

I love this Bible for kids and they have enjoyed the videos and game suggestions. Those components I highly recommend. However, you have to print out all the curriculum for yourself. This took me about 4-5 hours! I can only imagine how much extra this cost our church to do in color. I also originally thought I could email the lessons to the volunteer teachers each week, but the files are much too large to email. That was a big disappointment. For $75, I feel the material should have been printed for us. Publishers can do this far cheaper than churches can. In addition, many of our students were over the age of 7 and found the handouts a bit juvenile. I often had to find other puzzles/mazes to keep their interest. I would suggest the handouts are more appropriate for students 7 and younger, but they will need to be able to write some answers.
