This is my first book by Michelle Griep, but it won't be my last! Fans of historical fiction will enjoy this novel filled with mystery and romance. It took place in England during the early 1800s. The story of Johanna and Alexander was well written, and I was rooting for them throughout the book. The mystery traitor who Officer Alexander Moore was on a mission to find kept me in suspense. I couldn't wait to find out who was the traitor! Mr. Nutbrown (a supporting character) was a little too quirky for my liking, but I enjoyed reading "The Innkeeper's Daughter." The history of the Bow Street Runners provided in the story was very interesting.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

The first thing I thought of when I read The Innkeepers Daughter was the Renaissance. The characters, the mannerism, the setting, all played out to be a good Renaissance style book. It contained mystery, intrigue and a bit of romance.

One of Michelle Grieps strengths is she has a very descriptive writing style. This story was written from the viewpoint of two main characters- Alexander Moore and Johanna Langley. And each character provided a fun often conflicting tale. My first laugh was when I realized that my impressions of the Inn changed immensely viewing it thru Alexanders eyes rather than Johannas. Through Joannas eyes, I saw a quaint and beautiful Inn. But through Alexanders eyes, the reader finds out that the inn is dilapidated and far from five star.

The Innkeepers Daughter has a lot of other colorful characters and amusing scenes. The plot moved fairly slowly. But the characters kept my interest and the pages turning. Throughout the book I highlighted words of wisdom that made it worth reading The Innkeepers Daughter. I received a copy of this book with no strings other than to provide an honest opinion.

The Innkeeper's Daughter What an entertaining, awesome, adventurous, mysterious, romantic and Faithful book. There is a traitor to the Crown and Alexander is out to find out who while staying at Johanna's family Inn. I have to say this author is unreal - she is able to make the characters come to life off the pages and into your imagination. I really hope that I have the privilege to review her next book because this one was out of bounds - it was that good. I received a copy of this book from the Publisher and Netgalley; all of the opinions expressed in this review are all my own.
