sgreene015 Stars Out Of 5Great bookMay 1, 2018sgreene01Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for The Hawaiian Discovery. This is book 2 of the Hawaiian series by Wanda & Jean Brunstetter.
We are reunited with characters from the first book and meet new ones. The book begins in Indiana where Mandy and Ken have moved and now run a bed and breakfast. Mandy's best friend, Ellen works at the B&B for them. Ken's father, living in Hawaii, passes away and Ken and Mandy feel they need to permanently stay in Hawaii to help his mother with the family farm so sell the B&B. Ellen feels she needs to be with Mandy to support them and help out anyway she can, for however long she can. Once in Hawaii again, we see many exciting things take place in all of their lives. Love, family and faith are the integral parts of their lives leading to a future, directed by God.
This was a very enjoyable book, which I read in a couple of days. I highly recommend it to those who enjoy Amish books, especially those by the Brunstetters. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley and Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.

SB19895 Stars Out Of 5Great story!April 30, 2018SB1989Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for The Hawaiian Discovery. This story is the second in Wanda and Jean Brunstetter's Hawaiian quilt series. The authors share with us where best friends Mandy and Ellen are in their lives. Changes are coming for both the girls though. Mandy and her husband have a family emergency that results in a relocation for them. Ellen shows her true friendship for Mandy by helping out, and then even travels to again assist her friend during her time of need. There is a special bit of happiness that comes in there too for Mandy. Ellen has her own adventures and decisions to make while helping Mandy. What will Ellen decide and how will it affect her future? This story tells of true friendship and the generous service of one friend to another. Ellen and Mandy both must lean to their faith to help them with their decisions and difficult circumstances. I enjoyed the characters in this story as much as I did in the first book of the series. I found their strength of faith inspiring and Ellen's true dedication to her friend Mandy encouraging. A great read not to be missed! I received a free advanced reader's copy of this book from the publisher and author, and though not required, I wanted to share my opinion.

Knitty Teacher5 Stars Out Of 5A Wonderful Book!July 1, 2018Knitty TeacherQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for The Hawaiian Discovery. The Hawaiian Discovery is another heartwarming read that leaves the reader smiling! As the sequel to The Hawaiian Quilt, the story takes us once again from the gentle plains of Indiana to the tropical beauty of Hawaii. Familiar characters return, and the reader gets to know Ellen very well in this story. There is heartache, pain, friendship, loyalty, surprises, and love all wrapped into one book! This book is Amish fiction; however, its much different than a traditional Amish story. I believe anyone who enjoys Christian fiction will love this book! The characters are relatable and sweet, and the storyline is engaging all the way until the final page. This was an enjoyable read, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a sweet story in a beautiful setting!
