Dorothy5 Stars Out Of 5Another Great Gift from Ann Voskamp!January 8, 2018DorothyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I absolutely love Ann Voskamps books! The Greatest Gift is an Advent devotional pointing the reader to Gods abundant love for us by tracing the ancestry of Jesus. It is so deep that I am re-reading it in January and will read it again next Advent. I have also bought three more copies as gifts!
Lisa5 Stars Out Of 5The Greatest GiftDecember 29, 2017LisaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Ann Voskamp is an awesome writer and this book does a great job to help prepare your heart for the birth of Christ. This book starts on December 1 rather than the beginning of Advent, so we have the whole month to prepare for the coming of Jesus. Each devotion is based on Scripture and every day there are questions and activities to prepare our hearts for each day of the month leading up to Christmas.

mar5 Stars Out Of 5The Greatest Gift: An Advent DevotionalJanuary 7, 2016marQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Ann did not disappoint in writing this devotional. I always love how she words things. This book helped me focus my eyes on Jesus during the advent season and the reflection questions at the end helped me to put into practice what I had learned. A great book and will read it again next advent.
Jesse3 Stars Out Of 5Guess I'm the ExceptionDecember 13, 2015JesseQuality: 3Value: 3Meets Expectations: 1Ann has given us a day by day study to remind us of Christ's lineage leading up to his birth. The Biblical passages created a new awareness of many Old Testament stories that I had never thought of as being connected to Advent. That said, he textual comments are disconnected and in many cases, are reduced to "one liners" that you would find on a Hallmark card. I did like her daily questions and personal challenges to create a meaningful Advent season.
