Drew5 Stars Out Of 5The Gospel of John , Ministry EditionJanuary 28, 2015DrewMeets Expectations: 5A Great Tool to use for a Bible Study
Ron5 Stars Out Of 5The Gospel of John, Ministry EditionNovember 22, 2014RonWell acted and true to the Gospel. Our group Bible study uses this. We start by watching one segment, then we read the same segment, then we discuss the material. This follows the old teachers process of "tell them what you are going to tell them, tell them. then tell them what you told them". It works.

We have learned so much about who Jesus is and what He really came to do from listening to and watching this video. Our disc has lasted from countless viewings; we want to have additional ones available for whenever ours might bite the dust. Plus, it makes an incredible gift to some who is hungry for Truth. Our grandchildren even like it and have memorized parts of scripture because of it. The portrayal of the healing of the blind man is wonderful. EXCELLENT AND BELIEVABLE PORTRAYAL.

My family and I first experienced it in snippets shown over several months at the contemporary worship service we attend. I finally ordered the DVD so we could watch it beginning to end. There really isn't enough that I can say in its favor. The publishers blurb comparing it to Mel Gibson's "Passion" really does it a disservice. No other film even comes close to this one in both its fidelity to the text and emotional power (I think the latter is the result of the former). Every one should see this movie at least once.
