I have read hundreds of Christian books in my life and this one easily ranks in the top 5. It is in a category with Knowing God by J.I. Packer and Mere Christianity by C.S.Lewis. John White is a trustworthy mentor whose personal honesty and integrity are apparent through his writings (I have read virtually all of his 20 something books).

This book is an excellent resource! It's a great tool to use along with your bible study time or great to give as a gift to a babe in Christ. It gives practical, biblical insight on so many issues of life and covers an array of topics that many Christians, both young and old rapple with their Christian walk. Although it was written in 1976 the book and its message are still pertinent TODAY!!Buy it you won't regret it!

An excellent book for new and old Christians. This book accompanies John Whites bible study of the same name. This brother has a gift for explaining important, yet sometimes difficult, topics. My whole bible study class purchased them, and I bought extras as gifts for some new Christians I know. It will get them off on the right foot. Great discussions on prayer, conscience, witnessing, guilt, the blood, holiness, on and on. Full of spirit-feeding, practical wisdom!

A great book to get a young Christian started in their faith. This book is easy to read, with very basic theology and spiritual disciplines, but, most importantly, it concentrates on explaining the most important aspect of Christianity - what knowing God personally and walking with Him is like, day-to-day. I highly recommend it!
