Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny are helping to clean and fix up the local library. If they work hard enough, they might be able to help the library get landmark status! But someone clearly doesn't want that to happen since strange things start happening. . . does someone want to destroy the library? The Boxcar Children are on the case! #21 in the series.
The children try to clean up an old library so it can receive landmark status, but someone else tries to stop them.
Gertrude Chandler Warner was born in 1890 in Putnam, Connecticut, where she taught school and wrote The Boxcar Children because she had often imagined how delightful it would be to live in a caboose or freight car. Encouraged by the book's success, she went on to write eighteen more stories about the Alden children.
