First of all, i would like to say this is an awesome awesome Bible! i am a pastors wife and a few years ago, we purchased these Bibles for our church members, 1 per household which was quite high but most definitely worth it! The only complaint i have is that the binding has ripped several times. i have hot glued it and i contacted lifeway abour getting it re-binded and it would cost 3-4 times what the Bible itself cost just to re-bind it. But my #1 suggestion would be to get a leather back edition. i have been looking for one with no success. please let know if you make one!!! i have friends with the same problem with theirs, my 2-3 year old daily walk Bible has fallen apart and i want one i can keep for a long long time.

I am enjoying this Bible more than I realized I would. I was intrigued and excited about it having a regular Bible set up unlike the One Year Bibles. I enjoyed reading a One Year Bible two years ago but I like to try new things. One of my favorite things about this Bible are it's comments and thought provoking insights. I have zero complaints about this Bible.

This has been my favorite one year Bible reader. The daily reading segments go by the story line, rather than the number of pages, so some days are very short and some very long, but for the most part just right. The readings are divided into six days of reading with one "catch up/reflection" day each week, which really helps you keep up on the assignments. I love reading the whole story at a time! The daily outline of topics covered is very useful in understanding the readings. The commentary is sparse, but well targeted to thinking about the day's reading. I was delighted to find this in the KJV. Several friends have purchased this after seeing my copy. HOWEVER: The paperback falls apart by the end of the year, so cannot be used for additional years. When buying as gifts, my friends have ordered the hardcover. Both are glued, so am awaiting a report on whether the hardcover will hold up better.

What Have They Done? I was looking for the same Daily Walk Bible copyrighted in 1987 by Tyndale House and very disappointingly have only been able to find THIS ONE. This USED TO BE a great version that was an easy read. But with the typographical errors, "500 thousand dollar" words, and misuse of Old English, I wouldn't recommend this version to anyone.

For example, it uses words like, in Gen 1:14 . . "firmament" instead of the plain, "vault in the sky"; or in

Gen 2:18..."I will make him AN HELP MEET for him." This is clearly a TYPO and unacceptable for the BIBLE. I expect a higher standard from Tyndale House.

The sporadic attempt of Old English is awful, especially when combined with New World countries, i.e. Ethiopia (Cush).

If you can find The Daily Walk Bible copyrighted in 1987 with the text from The Living Bible, copyright 1971, you will have a treasure you won't want to put down.
