The Crow's Call is about an Amish family that is struggling after a horrific family tragedy. This novel takes you through each surviving family member's grief and their response to it.

The mother Belinda is determined to keep the family business going and so that becomes her goal each morning. Daughter Amy is determined to remain cheerful in spite of personal struggles. Daughter Sylvia is struggling to care for her two young children. Son Henry is defiant and the last place he wants to be is working in the family greenhouse. Son Ezekiel's heart is torn between caring for his family and his new life in another state.

Will this family overcome their grief? Will their struggles get easier as time goes on?

In the midst of all the difficulties, there is vandalism that occurs at the greenhouse. Who is causing this trouble? Does it relate to Henry's rebellion?

I would encourage you to read this book. And I am looking forward to book two in the series.

i received this book from Barbour publishing company. This book is not like most of Wanda Brunstetter's style if books, but she did it so well. she went through the process of 4 different people grieving after a tragic accident that took the lives of Vernon, Abe, and Toby. It shows how every person grieves differently. Amy, her siblings, and mother have to completely take over the family greenhouse business to provide, and the obstacles that keep presenting itself, all while going through their own individual grieving processes. It shows God's grace and comfort to help them and a community that comes together to help each other when there is a need. this is an awesome book that you wont want to put down!!!

Oh.be.still.my.beating.heart! The long awaited Amish mystery by Mrs. Wanda Brunstetter is finally here! The first book in the Amish Greenhouse Mysteries.

I love suspense/mysteries so when this book came in the mail I delved right into this story. And what a story!

The cover of this book is interesting because it shows three things that are the main events in this story. First the crow, then the flowers and thirdly, Amy King.

Amy King is single but dating/courting when her precious father, brother and brother-in-law are killed. After their deaths the women of the family seem a little lost at what can be done to keep money coming in so they can all survive.

No, this isn't a story about survival but about family ties, love and moving on in life when all seems lost. And the mystery of the greenhouse.

This is a GREAT read! Don't miss it!

Amy King puts her entire life on hold after her family core is devastated by a fatal buggy accident. She and her mother are trying to run the family greenhouse despite all the conflicts thrown their way. Such a good book and I received a complimentary copy from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.

This was a really different book by this author. After the deaths of three family members, surviving family members show their grief in different ways as they try to work through the ordeal that they have experienced. This book is the start of Amish Greenhouse Mystery series and visits some of the characters from the Prayer Jars Series. So it was fun to see characters that become friends throughout these books.

After the death of three family members the family greenhouse business is taken over by Belinda, Amy, Sylvia and Henry. Each showing their grief in different ways and showing how their feelings affect the lives of everyone near to them. We all experience grief at times in our lives and this book shows we are not alone in this and there are no right or wrong ways to grieve.

A good book with lots of feelings.
