I am enjoying reading various books from this series and seeing how things come together.
Nick, Darcy, and Corey were all very likable main characters. The romance was sweet as it grew between Nick and Darcy. Their mutual care and love for the boy, Corey, was special. It was hard to read that Nick felt that he would be a bad father based on his upbringing. Watching him work through that was difficult.
I enjoyed reading about the way the ranch operated and watching as Nick and Darcy worked with Corey and some of the other boys there to help them in their individual circumstances. It was very interesting.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

The Cowboys Texas Family is in a series of Long Star Cowboy League:Boys Ranch . Even though it is in a series it can be read as a stand-a-lone with no problems. I love the story and the characters, both were easy to follow. Daley knows how to weave a story and grab you right at the start and not let go till the end. She does not disappointment me. There is lots of strange things that is going on around the Boys Ranch. Corey is having a hard time now, his mom died and his father turned into an alcoholic and cant watch Corey. Nick loves Corey and promised a buddy he would help watch after him. He is doing his best , but he thinks he is not father material to take Corey in. Nick is keeping some of his childhood a secret and has not told anyone. Darcey is in Haven, Texas to finds some answers, she lives in Alabama . She meets Corey and falls in love with him. I caught myself with tears in my eyes and could not read fast enough to see what was going to happen. What will happen to Corey. Nick thinks he is not father material and Darcy lives in Alabama. Darcy and Nick gets close while she is working at the Boys Ranch . Daley weaves a story of hurt, forgiveness, and love. This is a heartwarming story that will touch your heart.
I was given a complimentary book , but was not told that I had to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.
KavRCanadaGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5CaptivatingJanuary 13, 2017KavRCanadaGender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Take one rancher with a heart of gold who thinks he's terrible father material, add a self-assured young woman in search of her roots, throw in a traumatized boy who needs a family and you've got the makings of a tantalizing romance. Sweet and funny and tragic all rolled up into one captivating read.
This is the fourth book in a miniseries but it reads really well as a standalone...though there is a mystery that still needs to be solved. A few of them actually. I don't know how I missed the other books. I might just have to backtrack to catch up. :-)
Britney Adams4 Stars Out Of 5The Cowboy's Texas FamilyJanuary 9, 2017Britney AdamsQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0The Cowboys Texas Family is another great addition to the Lone Star Cowboy League: Boys Ranch series, as the mysterious happenings around the ranch remain unsolved and the suspense continues to build. For those who have not read earlier installments in this continuity series, The Cowboys Texas Family is a story that can also stand alone.
I really enjoyed Nicks devotion to Corey and his determination to find the ten-year-old a better home. When Darcy comes to town, she immediately joins Nick in his endeavor, and their unexpected journey becomes one of hope and healing. Tackling some difficult issues, The Cowboys Texas Family tugged at my heartstrings!
