Product Description

In 1707, young Sarah Noble and her father traveled through the wilderness to build a new home for their family. "Keep up your courage, Sarah Noble," her mother had said, but Sarah found that it was not always easy to feel brave inside. The dark woods were full of animals and Indians, too, and Sarah was only eight! The true story of Sarah's journey is inspiring. And as she cares for her father and befriends her Indian neighbors, she learns that to be afraid and to be brave is the greatest courage of all. Recommended for ages 7 to 10. I used this book when I taught home school. All five of my children read and enjoyed this true life story. A couple of them wrote a very good book report on it as well. Character qualities were noted as we reviewed the book which proved most helpful. Now they are all grown. They have each faced countless changes and faced them with courage. I think the book inspired them in this way while they were young.

This book was given to a former student I tutored. The purpose was to see how other young people stood up to various problems, then, that they may also face today.
