I was blessed to study under Dr. Schaeffer in 1970 at L'Abri in Huemoz, Switzerland. Little did I realize then how accurately he portrayed today's church in crisis and the titanic shift in views on the family, human sexuality, personal responsibility and virtually all of today's social and political issues. It will take months to get through all the books, however, his writing is concise, absolutely relevant today and deeply faithful to the Bible. He is an amazing theologian.

I'm 3/4 of the way through volumn 1 and the breadth and scope of what I've read is beyond anything previously encountered. It's not the Bible nor does it claim to be, but it does link our intellect and spirit to God's word in a way that is deeply spiritual and intellectually stimulating. I relish Sheaffer's way of replacing blind faith with faith that is subject to reasoning using the mind that God gave us. Also, I believe that the worldview he promotes is essential to living a life that is meaningful, purposeful and, thereby, pleasing to the Lord.

Just get it! This is less than half the list price, and I haven't seen a better price anywhere.

It doesn't get any better than this writer and the issues he addresses. Very important for Christians to understand what kind of society they live in and how it impacts them and their Christian beliefs.

I was overwhelmed at the intellectual level of the books. Everyone should own a set for insight into art, science, and education in general from a Christian standpoint. Easily understood but highly intellectual.
