Dave K2 Stars Out Of 5Rediculous word substitutionsFebruary 25, 2021Dave KQuality: 3Value: 2Meets Expectations: 1This is an interesting translation and the notes and sidebars are informative. Unfortunately, the editors/translators chose to use Hebrew names and selected Hebrew words, and it made reading the text annoying. And the notes almost always translate names so all that is gained is that more ink was needed for the notes. I don't see what is gained for the English reading audience to call Paul "Sha'ul, or to call the Pharisees the "P'rushim". And why say "hametz" when "yeast" is a perfectly good English word?

JJ1 Stars Out Of 5subparFebruary 4, 2019JJQuality: 1Value: 2Meets Expectations: 1The print quality is not there. My CJB has smears and black spots all over Mattiyahu, only text I have been reading this far from the printed copy.
The content is inconsistent where he changes text to something completely different and then says in the comments section that even though it didn't say that, it could have.
CJB is also very inconsistent with the Hebrew names where it randomly uses God and sometimes Adonai and then God again.
Study notes cover only fraction of the subjects and I find myself going to biblehub all the time for some content.
I was hoping for quality but instead this product was hastily put together with seemingly nobody proof reading any of it for correctness.
Lastly the CJB was shoved through the cheapest press they could find.
Absolutely can NOT recommend for anyone!
Bet1 Stars Out Of 5The incomplete Jewish Study BibleOctober 23, 2021BetI've had The Complete Jewish Bible for years but it was accidentally destroyed beyond use so I thought I would replace it with the "Study Bible", however, as far as I'm concerned this does not constitute a study Bible. Just look at some of the other study Bibles available and this one pales significantly. They could have included much more of the culture and tradition in the study areas. Deeply disappointed in this product. A waste of money.
