I am sorry to say I found this book wholly uninteresting. I cannot fathom having a key character as dubious and as dishonest as Olivia seems to be. How can anybody, even a non christian tell so many lies as to have to write them down and even update them from time to time in order to keep up with it! I was appalled at it all! And then, why would Olivia continue to encourage Mr Howard even when she had the opportunity of letting him know that she wasn't interested in his suit?
Well, I wouldn't know what the writer had in mind, whether to point out that God can forgive anyone no matter how crookish but I really think the story could have been better written.
First, I didn't realize this was one of a series of books based on the primary character. Normally other books I've read end with a conclusion of the main characters and then continue with the secondary characters in another volume. However, this book leaves you with no ending and you are forced to purchase the next book etc. (No doubt this is the plan of the author). Having said that; I did enjoy the storyline, but do not appreciate the "need to make multiple purchases" in order to come to a finish.
