Beginning was very interesting how a caring person can send out a card with encouraging words to an inknown person and how that act of kindness can inspire that one to go in search of the sender. However was disappointed when meeting first takes place and the sender of the card is one who is to be noted as a Christian. In that respect I think it may have been best to exclude Church and Christian in this film. Because there was lack of reverence toward God -such as prayer seemed lacking even at meals. Drinking (wine)was taken very lightly it appears. As far as a romance film it would rate high but as for Christian would have to hesitate recommending.

This is one of our favorite Christmas movies - we bought this copy recently after forgetting who we had loaned our old one out to last ... and not getting it back. It's a great story, and we love the strong family values which are so rare in movies these days - the young woman in the story has a wonderful relationship with her parents and values their advice and guidance, and the young man is honest, respectful and hard-working. Very sweet and romantic, with some funny moments as well - and my husband loves it, too! The acting is well-done - Ed Asner is great in it.
