Named by Newsweek as one of the top 10 preachers in the country, Craddock pastors a small church in the mountains of north Georgia---Cherry Log Christian Church. Glean wisdom from his immense homiletical gifts---deft storytelling, a rare ability to interpret the biblical text for our day, and a keen sensitivity to his audience. 115 pages, softcover from Westminster/John Knox.

Simply written, in ordinary words, not theological jargon, Craddock's comments apply to all of us. I was raised Baptist, then became Methodist after marriage, so I can reassure you, this is not necessarily a book for a particular denomination! This is a book for anyone who "delights in the Christian gospel phrased in imaginative and challenging ways" (quotation from blurb on back of the book). I'm buying several for gifts to friends who I know will appreciate Craddock's outlook to our everyday needs almost as much as I.
