GrandaddyAAge: Over 65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Finding the TruthAugust 17, 2017GrandaddyAAge: Over 65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I enjoyed reading about Kariss and Tigo as they struggled to work together without killing each other. He was the tough FBI special agent who often had a problem working with a partner and now his SAC has told him to work with an author as part of her research for a book. One or the other seemed to constantly be in the gun sights of a gang member. Both of them were brought up in the church and knew the right way but they had allowed other things to pull them away from the faith in which they were raised. Will either of them find their way back? And does romance have any room in either of their lives? Add this to the suspense and action for quite an exciting read. With about 40 pages left to read when bedtime came, I had a real struggle to put the book down. I wanted to know how it ended.
christiangirl4evr4 Stars Out Of 5The ChaseApril 1, 2015christiangirl4evrQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4This book has a good storyline and plot. The two main characters have obstacles to overcome, but after they do, you can see the relationship that is developing. There wasn't a lot of romance, which I appreciated. I don't like it when the romance overpowers the actual story. There were a couple things Kariss did that I thought were a little unbelievable, but her love of justice for children shines through. For me, the story was predictable, but I enjoyed it. She really didn't bring God into the picture till about page 50-55, and didn't make Him a bigger part of the storyline until later in the book. Upon reflection, I see that she was setting the stage for where her characters were at with their faith. I'm hoping the next book in this series is better.
nonnamaryville, tnAge: 55-65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Suspenseful Cold CaseMarch 28, 2015nonnamaryville, tnAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Kariss Walker was a news reporter in Houston. She quit her job to write women's fiction. Even though her writing brought success, she was not content. She wanted to write suspense fiction. She remembered a story from five years prior about a 5 year-old girl who was found dead from starvation. The case had never been solved, and it haunted Kariss.
She went to the FBI and asked if they would reopen the case. She wanted to write her first suspense novel on the little girl and hopefully find something that was missed in the investigation. Kariss wanted to find justice for this child.
The Special Agent assigned to assist her was not happy about her tagging along and asking questions. He felt she was endangering herself. As it turned out, she was endangering them both.
This was a good suspense novel based on a real-life cold case. The author showed us the violent and criminal life of gang members and what happens to those who cross them. Going to well-known crime areas seemed a little unrealistic to me, but other than that, I enjoyed the book
MaryAnnORAge: 55-65Gender: Female4 Stars Out Of 5Christian FBI thrillerJune 7, 2013MaryAnnORAge: 55-65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4An unsolved FBI case of a child's death prompts best-selling author Kariss Walker to stir up interest as she bases a suspense novel on the situation. Independent Special Agent Tigo Harris is assigned to assist the former news anchor in her pursuit of the girl's missing mother and resolving the case. Stopping gun smugglers takes higher priority to him, but then the cases become entangled and Kariss's life endangered. This thriller is based on an actual cold case. It does have more violence than I care to read but not explicit.

Kariss Walker is an author following an FBI agent to learn more about the inner workings of the FBI for her next book. She becomes entrenched in a case and gets herself in some precarious circumstances. I enjoyed the book, though I really thought some of the stupid circumstances she got herself into were a little unbelievable. Overall, it was a great story with fun characters. A book and series I would recommend.
