Very much enjoyed the history and presentation. Thank God for the KJV. The dedication page of the KJV means more to me now.

The history of the English Bible is a favorate topic of mine. Over the past year, knowing the 400th aniverary of the King James Bible was upon us, I have read multiple books about King James, the inspired translaters that preceeded the KJV, including the master William Tyndale, John Rogers, Miles Coverdale, William Whittingham, John Calvin and Theodore Beza of Geneva Bible fame and Bishop Matthew Parker of the Bishops Bible fame. Also the story of Gregory Martin and the Catholic Rhemes New Testament of 1582. This DVD is a wonderful combination of naration by John Rhys-Davies and accompanying acting. Historically very accurate and entertaining. A wonderful way to learn about how the KJV came to be with friends and family (kids above age 8). From the early life of King James VI of Scotland, to the death of Queen Elizabeth, to the political climate in England, to the Hampton Court Conference, to the humble Puritan request for a new translation, to the organization of the six companies of translaters, to the final step of King James admiration as the 1611 masterpiece came off the press. The dark side of King James male relationships was tactfully omitted as it does not really add perspective to the King James Version of the Bible. Very Well Done!!
