Seventy of the most loved stories from the Old and New Testaments are retold in an entertaining and expressive manner.
This book is easy for toddlers to follow along as grown-ups read aloud. From the favorite stories of Bible heroes, like "Joseph Gets a New Coat," to the lessons Jesus taught in "A Man Hunts for His Lost Sheep," kids will love hearing stories from The Bible in Pictures for Toddlers. The colorful illustrations will thrill them, too.
Other stories in this volume include "God Makes the World," "God Makes People," "Noah Does What God Tells Him," "The People Say No to God," "Abraham Says Yes to God," "Moses' Mommy Hides Him," and "Jesus Makes a Storm Be Quiet."

Simple words and simple tellings, well said compared to the other "toddler" bibles. I agree with the recommended age that even a year-old child would pay attention. I love the feel of cover in my hands, the smooth and glossy pages and the simplicity of illustrations, and if you hate the cartoonish whimsical drawings then this could satisfy you. The size is just perfect for the palm esp. when reading for a squirmy toddler, and I like that it's a little padded.
My only problem is that it's much too expensive for the overall book. The illustrations and colors are much too simple for the price.

The families love them and they are ones that the children can use for years to come...until they get their full Bible in the first grade.
kboston5 Stars Out Of 5March 21, 2010kbostonI think this book is excellent. It is beautifully illustrated. My daughter has had this since she was 3. I love how this author presents the text. She gives just enough thought to make the text meaningful, but not so much that a 3-year old would be confused. As a parent I really like the handling of the tougher topics, such as the crucufixion. She approaches it with real tenderness. I feel that the author does not make the text too petty, rather bringing out the love and sacrifice in the story while keeping the actual text simple. Very gifted author and illustrator!
Gary Harms2 Stars Out Of 5February 16, 2009Gary HarmsIt's really a small book--must be saving on printing costs. For a few dollars more, I'd recommend the "deluxe" edition.
