Publisher's Description

0n September 1, 1994, I flew to Israel and met in Jerusalem with a close friend of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, the poet Chaim Guri. I gave him a letter which he immediately gave to the Prime Minister.

"An Israeli mathematician has discovered a hidden code in the Bible that appears to reveal the details of events that took place thousands of years after the Bible was written," my letter to Rabin stated.

"The reason I'm telling you about this is that the only time your full name Yitzhak Rabin is encoded in the Bible, the words 'assassin that will assassinate' cross your name."

On November 4, 1995, came the awful confirmation, a shot in the back from a man who believed he was on a mission from God, the murder that was encoded in the Bible three thousand years ago.

Editorial Reviews

Newsweek Explosive....No wonder the book is causing a sensation.
Los Angeles Times A certifiable phenomenon. The text abounds with stunning predictions.
Time A new book says Rabin's murder was predicted, and there are dreadful things to come. Should we fear?

One review said the Bible Code is garbage, and another that the same method would and can work in other books. Is Taking - In Serious - Notice to Other Texts really invalidating the Bible Code for the Bible itself? No. Yes, you can get results with it in Moby Dick but look at everything you can find in the Bible with's too far out in the odds to be more than a simple trick. If you don't want to buy the book, check out the code elsewhere, but the book is a start.

If you read this and continue the research with other material pro and con, truly checking for yourself...not being led by credentials alone, but by the statistical facts and the way the research was may just realize there is unfathomable depth to our Scriptures that only God could do. Why do we want to put limits on Him? After really studying and listening to the critics and the responses to each other, and knowing already the incredible patterns in the Bible that go way beyond the surface...anyone can see simply must give this the credibility it deserves. Be cautious, of course and don't misuse it. May we be blessed with His incomprehensible awesomeness!

This is one of the biggest hoaxes to be thrust on the Christian church in recent history. The purpose of the bible is to present the gospel message of Jesus Christ. There are no hidden or esoteric messages "endoded" within its pages. Using the author's "system", one could make the Bible or any other book for that matter say almost anything. It would not surprise me if he comes out with a new version claiming the World Trade Center disaster was encoded as well. It is suspicious that he only learns of these "predictions" after the fact. If his methods are so scientifically accurate, how come he cannot forewarn us of these events ahead of time? Obviously, this book is nothing more than a case of yellow journalism with no basis in fact. I would recommend that anyone considering this book send the money to missionaries instead where it will be put to much better use.

This is called speculative garbage. The same "scientific" work can be done with "War and Peace" and "Moby Dick"
