I have always loved reading Sherlock Holmes and have loved his ability to see what other's don't. I believe Father Brown would be just as sharp, but goes several steps beyond. His humbleness and ability to reach out to the criminal to share salvation is a great contrast to Holmes. I'm about halfway through the book right now and it has been well worth the time to read.
