My Review:

My youngest child started reading this past year and I was very relieved. As a homeschool mother, you sometimes hold your breath until that one child you have been working with; finally takes off and begins his reading adventure. Jesus is Born is a great start to the holiday season.

That is one huge reason why I love the "My First Reader" series of books. They take books and stories and convert them into easy readers for those that are just beginning their reading journey or have a little harder time than most.

Jesus is Born, is the sweetest story of a little baby that came to save the world. The reason for Christmas in the first place. This story just states Biblical fact and nothing more to sway the child. It is straight forward and concise. It is also short and sweet and within a few short pages, the story is told.

A great way for your early readers to learn more about Jesus and why Christmas even exists.

I find the artwork kind of scary, and the story rather simple, so you might want to look at it before purchasing to make sure it is suitable for your child. I do like that it tells part of the story and a picture of a small child when the wisemen came.
