Tell us a little about yourself. Since before I could even read I had a love for the book of Revelation, and was fascinated by its images and symbolism. However one thing always bothered me: I grew up believing that Revelation was all about the future, but chapter 12 seems to describe the birth of Jesus, which happened 2,000 years ago. Then it occurred to me, to put those verses back in history where they belong (as on a timeline), and take another look at Revelation. Suddenly I realized that everything from chapter 6 to chapter 12 took place before the time of Jesus, and everything after chapter 12 took place (or will take place) after the time of Jesus.
What was your motivation behind this project? How many people believe Jesus probably knew what he was talking about and meant the things that he said? One purpose in writing this book was to cause people to reconsider Jesus either those whove never heard the truth, or those whove given up because of all the nonsense being taught about Jesus. One question I am often asked is Why have we never heard this before?
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Once people see that most Jesus prophecies (namely Matthew 24 and much of the book of Revelation) were actually fulfilled within that first generation, and that Jesus knew what he was talking about, perhaps they will also believe in the other things Jesus said and did.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? People ask me, What made you decide to write this book the way you did? To answer, I reply After I figured out who the main characters were, as described in the book of Revelation, I thought I should recreate the world in which they lived. Without an understanding of their world, much of what is described in the book of Revelation just doesnt make any sense.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: If someone asks me if this story is true I will say that most of it is. Most of it really happened, and most of the characters are real people. But not all of it is 100% fact: Some of the characters that arent real are based on people that are. Just read it and enjoy it you might learn something youve never even thought of before.
