Marie P5 Stars Out Of 5Orley and Lois to the rescue againSeptember 27, 2022Marie PQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Apple Creek Announcement. This third in the Apple Creek Series shows Lois and Orley still in action helping people sort out life's issues. Andrea and Brandon are yet another couple with complex problems - a wedding to plan amidst
new revelations they must sort out before they are ready to make a commitment to each other. Throughout this series, I've especially loved reading how Lois and Orley pass on the wisdom gleaned from many years of marriage and serving God through mentoring people in their community.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing. I was under no obligation to post a review. -
chemil335 Stars Out Of 5Adoption SecretSeptember 26, 2022chemil33Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Apple Creek Announcement.Adoption Secret
This is the third in Creektown Discoveries by Wanda Brunstetter. It follows her usual format of the introduction of the main characters, the problems they are encountering, their experiences in finding solutions, and God's intervention in the solution. I enjoyed the book. It had well developed characters and a believable story. The topic of adoption and the rights of adoptees to know their past is tastefully discussed. The problem of when to tell an adopted child of their adoption is also addressed. This is a relevant topic in our culture today.
I received a free copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to provide a review. -

SB19895 Stars Out Of 5Loved this storyAugust 31, 2022SB1989Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Apple Creek Announcement. This story is the third and final installment in Wanda Brunstetter's wonderful Creektown Discovery series but can also be enjoyed as a stand-alone novel. The story revisits Amish couple Lois and Orley Troyer and their Memory Keepers antique shop as they meet and share advice and words of wisdom with both main characters Andrea and Brandon. Piano teacher and artist Andrea Wagner and Brandon Prentice, the local veterinarian, are a happy couple that become engaged. Wedding plans are in full swing when a death in the family leads Andrea to learn from a cousin that she was adopted as an infant. This new information about her origins causes emotional upheaval and drives Andrea on a search for her birth parents, sidelining the wedding plans. While Brandon tries to be understanding, his feelings of neglect and hurt step in and create discontent. Both parties receive advice from the Troyers and as the story reaches a stunning conclusion, Andrea's birth mother is revealed is a surprising turn of events. This book, like all of Wanda's writings, encourages faith and prayer during difficult times. It's a lovely story that keeps the reader engaged and fortifies faith. I received a copy of this book from the publisher and author, but no review was required. Opinions shared here are my own.
