The Apostles' Creed is a summary statement of basic Christian beliefs that goes back to the earliest centuries of the church. It is the living link for Christians today with their earliest parents in faith. Further, the Creed is the living glue that best binds together a historically fragmented church as all major branches of the church including Protestant, Catholic and Orthodox all affirm, celebrate and confess the Creed. This is a two-hour abridged version of an upcoming 13-part curriculum series on the Apostles' Creed, now in production. Producer-director for the series is T.N. Mohan, who also produced the award-winning films Hanged on a Twisted Cross, Here I Stand, For One English Officer, and Christianity and Islam. The series includes a notable international and interdenominational cast of theologians, such as Dr. Alistair McGrath, Dr. Derek Tidball, Bishop N.T. Wright, Dr. Robert Mulholland, Dr. William Johnson, Dr. Timothy George, Bishop Kalistos Ware, Dr. Martin Marty, Dr. Tony Lane, and Dr. Peter Contrell. The series traces the origin of the Apostles' Creed, placing it in its historical context. By discussing each phrase of the Creed, the series emphasizes its relevance and application to our lives today. Comprehensive leader's guide is available as PDF.
