Jed5 Stars Out Of 5I can't put it down!April 7, 2016JedQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Since I became a Christian, I have not read any mystery and fictional novel for a long time. However, since I've read Lee's many 'case' books, I was intrigued by this one and bought it. Since I started reading the first page, I can't simply put in down, it's just a perfect fictional story for Christians who need an action-packed, witty book who takes us to the world of politics, the judiciary courts, and yes, the lives of the reporters in a very exciting and appreciative way. Can't wait for Lee's next book on mystery novel....can Gary Strider move to his next mission/investigative report again...would love to see him attend the Diamond Point Fellowship church and do his job, this time as someone who fully placed his faith on Jesus!!!! More please!!!
ainnirbard3 Stars Out Of 5Not BadMarch 15, 2016ainnirbardQuality: 3Value: 3Meets Expectations: 3Review from my blog on this book:
Lee Strobel wrote The Ambition. I not a huge fan of lawyer and/or reporter based books. But this one did keep me interested. You have a reporter looking for dirt on a church pastor who is in the running for an appointment to a political seat. Though the reason the reporter is looking for dirt isn't because of the possible appointment. Then there is the dirty lawyer who is also a possible for the political appointment. Of course, paths start crossing, people start dying and the story gets interesting.
Jim5 Stars Out Of 5A great novelJanuary 6, 2016JimQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I haven't read a novel in years so I was a bit reluctant to start one. Lee Strobel is an excellent writer and had my attention throughout the book. He was able to weave his own knowledge and background of people, the Chicago area and the church in an exciting way. I was arguing with characters, frustrated with their actions and relieved by the end, but still wanted more. I liked it so much I bought it for my dad, an avid reader, for Christmas.
