Spiritual warfare is real, and we are all involved whether we like it or not.
The Bible plainly tells us that Satan schemes against humanity and that he wants to devour us. Daily we struggle against Satan's strategies and desire to take over Gods kingdom. This battle will not go away, and ignoring it could be disastrous.
But don't be afraid. The victory is already won by Christ. No enemy is powerful enough to overcome the risen savior. In these pages, Mark Bubeck exposes the reality of the conflict and the hope believers have. He answers such questions as:
- What is Satan's strategy in spiritual warfare?
- Can a Christian be oppressed by demons?
- Can demonic affliction be passed down through family lines?
- What are the symptoms of demonic activity in a person's life?
Having sold more than 350,000 copies worldwide, this bestseller will help the reader triumph in the battle against demonic activity by relying on the almighty and powerful Son of God.
A pastor for more than 40 years, Dr. Bubeck is author of The Adversary, Overcoming the Adversary, The Rise of Fallen Angels, and Raising Lambs Among Wolves, now updated and re-published as The Adversary at Home.
He lives in Sun City, Arizona.
This book is being rereleased in 2013 and I received an advance copy from NetGalley for review. This book explains the basics of spiritual warfare and also serves as a practical guide. There are prayers at the end of the chapters designed to lead a person in prayer - not to be some kind of secret formula. The book is theologically conservative and cites well-known and respected leaders in the Christian faith (for example, Warren Weirsbe). Overall, I think this is a great guide for Christians to turn to when they need a fast and practical introduction to spiritual warfare. I recommend it alongside Dr. Ed Murphy's The Handbook for Spiritual Warfare. The world isn't what it seems on the surface and almost no one realizes it. This books helps remove the veil in a Biblical way. 4/5 stars.

We struggle I think with the concept of other worldly beings fighting around us, against us, and for us. With our limited knowledge of such warfare it can be easy to become misled or to develop our own ideas as to what exactly Spiritual Warfare really is all about. In this book, Mark Bubeck "exposes the reality of the conflict and the hope believers have by answering questions such as:
What is Satan's strategy in spiritual warfare?
Can a Christian be oppressed by demons?
What are the symptoms of demonic activity in a person's life?
Can demonic affliction be passed down through family lines?
The answers to these and several more questions can be found in this book. Although a deep-rooted topic, it is a relatively easy read. Warren Wiersbe has written the forward and he has this to say: "This is not a book filled with abstract theories. [It] it based on Scripture that has been tested on the battlefield in the heat of conflict_Please do not merely scan this book or speed read it. Jesus overcame Satan by using the Word of God_Too many believers today are victims instead of victors and underachievers instead of overcomers"
I invite you to pick up a copy of this book today and read it for yourself. May your knowledge of Spiritual Warfare become strengthened as you read through this powerful book. May you learn more about the battle that has already been won. I recommend this book to any seeker, Pastor, new or old Christian, Teacher, Parent, student, or followers of Christ. If you are a Christian this is your battle and Your Savior has already won the war!
I received this book from Moody Publishers and am not being compensated for my review.
