    This is a skillful artisan.

Even the most skillful artisans had to be filled with the Spirit of GOD to make the Tabernacle.

This just pales in comparison to reading the bible and the richness of the imagery provided by The Holy Spirit.

Lo, it had to be a mere silhouette, but I didn't think I would hurt inside, sharing the story of the Exodus in the action bible with a non-believer. The images were nicely drawn, finely colored, done in love. Lo, each of these plagues took time. The devastation was undermined in the short panels. The grit and the rawness and what it was like to just be hit with plagues warned from a man who was raised as an adopted Egyptian prince, who was exiled for killing an Egyptian, and came back screaming about the God of Israel, these stinky nomadic people who wandered in 430 years earlier during THE WORST famine that one of their own sons had delivered us from via interpreting a dream from being thrown in jail.

Yea the Exodus a big deal that marks the new year between God and Man. That just does not come through here. The Stress of the chase. Being separated by that pillar of smoke, darkness on the Egyptian side, Light on the Israelite side.

Another Miss: The Israelites crossed in the darkness of the morning. When the finished crossing, God Told Moses to stretch his hands over the sea of reeds so that the water could come back on the Egyptian Army. AT THAT MOMENT IT WAS DAY BREAK! Before day break there is not enough light for the human eye to register color. At day break, when the sea closed up and swallowed the Egyptian Army, The Earth burst into color at that very MOMENT! GODS TIMING! GODS MAJESTY!

But on page 141, that man yelling at Moses. Was sooo Good tho. But what was not shown was when Moses said in that moment -Do not fear! Stand firm and see the salvation of the Lord that he will provide for you today; for the Egyptians that you see today you will never, ever see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you can be still.- What an iconic moment that echoes throughout the bible to be still and know who The LORD IS!

Lo and Yea. Give me the word. I am afraid that if i had read this or watched the prince of Egypt when I was younger, I would not have this blessing of such vivid life in The Word. Do not be lured into a false sense of security of knowledge of The Word from having read this. Forgive us LORD, the love from our fallen hearts still bears fallen fruit despite our best intentions. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Be careful, use caution and pray for guidance and direction.
