I then read anything I could get my hands on. It would have been awesome to have had "Now That I'm a Christian" at that time. I would have matured, as a Christian, much faster. Michael's book lays down the essentials of the faith in a simple and meaningful way majoring on the majors. I think that the Church does a pretty good job of leading people to the foot of the cross, but, in general, does a poor job of handling the next steps. This book is, absolutely, the perfect thing to get in the hands of a new believer. If you are a bit more mature, "Now That I'm a Christian" will go a long way in helping you to clearly articulate your faith. If you struggle with knowing the right things to say to your friends or family who are searching for truth, it will really help you to focus on the most important issues in our faith.
