My 14 year old started with BJU Math. He began Teaching Textbooks in 7th grade. He skipped 8th grade (pre-algebra) and did TT for Alg., Geom., and Alg. 2. No other math classes were taken. He took his college placement tests this past spring (of his Alg. 2 year) and passed. NO remedial math needed. He was able to enroll into college level classes. We decided to do TT Pre-Calc. instead, but it's nice to know this has prepared him for college. I fully expect him to take the TT pre-calc. and retest into college level calculus. He also loves this math curriculum. Our family doesn't struggle with math, but I occasionally hear someone say TT is too easy. As a former public and private school teacher I say...Isn't that a GOOD thing?! Why do we want algebra to be difficult to understand? If it covers the material needed to prepare them for college level classes, yet does so in a fashion where the student progresses without struggles...SCORE! A relative of ours graduated from a public high school at age 18 and could NOT pass those exact math entrance exams. This meant he had to pay to take remedial math classes and was NOT earning any college credit. Be careful how you interpret "easy". TT is a cheaper and pain free way to get the job done right!

My daughter has never liked math though she is good at it. Teaching textbooks has helped her better understand the concepts and helps her feel more accomplished. She loves the teaching buddies, which she missed in the older versions of Algebra 1 and Geometry. I also appreciate the computer version with automated grading. It's a great help for her to see immediately what she did wrong and what the answers should be. This curriculum is great!

I am so thankful for this program. My sister is a high school algebra teacher. I need her every once in a while to help us through certain problems. He shows sometimes the harder way to solve the equation, but I appreciate knowing both ways. I love it!!!! My son has learned so much and I have too. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

This curriculum is excellent. My first child did TT through High School and scrored well on her ACT and SAT. She started right into College Algebra and is doing great. There was no need for remedial math after using TT. I also love the fact that all scoring is done on the computer now!
