Wow, although short, this was such an encouraging and convicting read! As a homeschooling mom with 6 young kiddos, I wish I could have read this a long time ago. It brings up many things that I have struggled with, yet couldn't put my finger on exactly. The author words everything very well. This book was completely not what I was expecting to read about teaching from "rest" ...BUT it was everything I needed to hear and ponder. I will definitely recommend this book to others, and I will need to read it myself many times.

As a homeschooling mom of 5 little ones, I cannot recommend this enough. I underlined so much and will plan to read it at least once a school year! So many great truths, and I have not encountered another book that is so applicable to this season of life. Every homeschooling mom should read it!

The title said it all. This book is about finding and resting in God. Not about charlotte mason. When i read, hear,or see a parent getting upset over doing to much. I hope they Take time to read some books for them. That is what this book is about. (O.k., i also think about the movie the ghost and mr. Chicken. Because mom's get keyed up.) We forget why we started homeschooling our children.

I picked up this book and spent a once in a lifetime afternoon in my hammock enjoying these beautiful ideas from Sarah Mackenzie. She takes you out of the "world view" of getting as much as you can in, which ends up with a child who knows a little about a lot, when my goal is for my child to deeply understand and love what they have learned. Since reading this a year ago, my home school life has changed and my children love it. They are EXTREMELY well educated, in Latin, history, math, geography / cartography, Chinese, science, and read A LOT. The way she guides you to this "unshakable peace" and to educate our children, has made each of these more lovely and more simplified than meeting my checklists. I love it, and I think you will too!!
