I was very concerned, being a first-time homeschooler, that I would be able to teach my child to read. After much searching and frustration, I decided to give this book a try. We are a little over half-way through they book and my son is already reading Green Eggs and Ham. It is so easy for the parent and for the child. It goes slowly, which is it great for young readers. After starting this book I found out how many other people use it and love it. I recommend to everyone!

Overall we are very happy with this book. My child (a reluctant reader) has really taken off with reading since using this. My child actually looks forward to doing this each day. Simple stories, with a picture and picture comprehension, make it very easy to use. Also very parent friendly.

    A different opinion

All opinions here are great, but there is another view on this. My dd hated it! She absolutely hated it! She begged me to teach her to read since she was 3 yrs old! I started her at almost 4yrs. and she was nothing but frustrated. Thinking she was just too young, I tried again at 5 yrs. - same thing. We both hated this method. She learned on a different method and was reading at the 9th grade level when she was 8 yrs old. THIS is NOT for everyone, and there are certainly more engaging reading programs out there!

After my sister taught her three children to read utilizing this book, she passed it on to me. My two children and I enjoyed it so much that when I learned a friend at Church was planning to homeschool her Granddaughter, I knew I had to share it with her. Unfortunately, my copy was a bit too well used, so I went in search of a copy to give her. Christian Book had it for the right price. Thank You for carrying a great product for a good price.

I highly recommend this book for anyone planning to teach their children to read.

This has been such a great tool! My daughter and I are loving this and are learning how to teach/read READING! It's also more effective than phonics and more affordable. :)
