With sensitivity, honesty, and insight, David Roper takes you to the heart of the questions every one of us must face.

Is the second half truly the best? It certainly can be. Inviting you to travel with him on his own "journey to maturity," Roper assures you that you are not winding down, but growing up into a new season of fruitfulness. And in God's economy, nothing--not even your sins and foolish choices--is wasted.

Calling you to both frank self-reckoning and joy, Teach Us to Number Our Days is an uplifting look at the possibilities that lie ahead.

A book of profound wisdom set forth in short chapters with stories, personal experience, quotes from the classics compiled to challenge, encourage and comfort in the journey of life as we near the end in this world and look forward to the joys of heaven. Highly recommended, a good read.

I purchased "Teach Us To Number Our Days" because I tend to collect devotionals and the price was unbeatable. I have started reading a chapter a night before bed. It is the perfect vehicle to bring my thoughts back to God at the end of the day. David Roper imparts a wisdom that comes with time and maturity and looks at aspects of life and aging which we may not otherwise want to look at. He examines the losses that come with aging and reveals the hidden blessings. I just started and am only on chapter 4 and it is requiring quite a bit of discipline not to read more than 1 chapter a night. I would compare this simple little book with Oswald Chambers' "My Utmost For His Highest" but not as deep or profound. That book (Chambers) can be a bit intimidating. Mr. Roper's book is easier to digest. It is simple without being "simplistic"

I'm amazed that there are so few feed backs to this great book! It is something that I have needed for just getting things right in my faith. I'm going to be marking my book up a whole lot Just to be able to page back to reread portions.

I'm also buying extra books to share.
