Publisher's Description

Cold Tangerines—now available in softcover— is a collection of stories that celebrate the extraordinary moments hidden in your everyday life. It is about God, and about life, and about the thousands of daily ways in which an awareness of God changes and infuses everything. It is about spiritual life, and about all the things that are called nonspiritual life that might be spiritual after all. It is the snapshots of a young woman making peace with herself and trying to craft a life that captures the energy and exuberance we all long for in the midst of the fear and regret and envy we all carry with us. It is both a voice of challenge and song of comfort, calling you upward to the best possible life, and giving you room to breathe, to rest, to break down, and break through. Cold Tangerines offers bright and varied glimpses of hope and redemption, in and among the heartbreak and boredom and broken glass.

I can't say enough good things about Cold Tangerines. It's refreshing, honest, and for me was like pouring water on a thirsty soul. Shauna's writing is real and engaging and reading this book feels more like sitting down for coffee with a friend than it does being preached at by an expert. Highly recommended!

This was a very enjoyable book, I loved the authenticity of Shauna. It was such a comfort for her to share what seems to lurk inside of me. It felt good to see that I am not alone in some of the feelings I don't want to admit I have. Her chapters where great, with each chapter being a story in and of itself. I truly loved the book, and can't wait for more to come. Thank you for redirecting me to enjoy my day to day life fuller.

I have so enjoyed reading this book! What a wonderful collection of essays about life lessons. I love how you can read a little or a lot, depending on your own schedule, because the chapters are so short and tell a complete story in and of themselves. This author is very real and honest; she openly admits what so many of us are thinking. This book has helped me to be more aware of the infinite blessings that are all around me.
